On January 24th  2017 at the Hotel Suites del Bosque in Lima, the second phase of the Project “Resource Recovery and Safe Reuse” was launched with the participation of more than 85 guests from the public and private sector.

Wanted: Innovative Ideas in Water and Sanitation!

This spring, cewas in cooperation with Impact Hub, Swiss Water Partnership, Swiss Bluetec Bridge and euforia organizes the Call for Ideas 2016. This competition honours promising, interesting and creative ideas in sanitation, water and resource management for the poor. The winner receives CHF 5.000,- as seed money and secures a sponsored slot in this year’s cewas start-up programme.

seecon project in the headlines

As part of the project Climate-Toolbox Surselva, seecon carried out an analysis of regional climate change risks and opportunities for the mountainous region Surselva in Switzerland. The results of the study were presented on June 25th and received strong attention from the media: three daily newspapers (download link) from the Grison covered the story on their front page and the local radio station RTR aired a three-minutes-long feature on the subject.

Opening of the "Tropenhaus Klein-Eden"

On the 13th of June 2014 the Tropenhaus Klein-Eden was opened officially by the Minister for Economic Affairs of Bavaria, Ms. Ilse Aigner. The Tropical House is a reference project for the energy-efficient use of waste heat in the low temperature range. Subtropical and tropical fruit as well as fresh-water food fish are produced in organic quality.

The Tropenhaus Klein-Eden uses the waste heat from the neighbouring glass industry.
