PhD and geographer, Johannes Heeb does not only import fruits and spices from abroad for the „Tropenhaus Wolhusen“ (a greenhouse with tropical fruit, heated by waste heat), but also new business and environmental management methods such as e.g. system dynamics. These methods are now well rooted in Switzerland, just as are his own vineyards. As president of the International Ecological Engineering Society IEES, Johannes Heeb has good connections to scientists and practitioners worldwide. In his projects, he links science, sustainable technology development and participatory approaches.
