Michael Kropac
Project Manager
M.A. has studied Geography, business administration and environmental sciences at the University of Basel. These broad studies were not only a good excuse for travelling all around the world, but also a sound basis for the trans-disciplinary projects of seecon.
The main focus of his work at seecon are knowledge management in the areas of sustainable development, be it sustainable sanitation and water management in developing countries, the future in the Alps or regional development in Switzerland. He is responsible for sustainable sanitation and water management training courses, which are conducted worldwide and is also moderator and lecturer. His tasks also include the development of interactive training tools and the management of the regiosuisse research network for regional development in Switzerland. Besides his project work, he is in charge of the finances of seecon and is also a member of the executive board..
In his leisure, he pursues the motto “the steeper, the better” – be it skiing, mountaineering, climbing unclimbed cliff-faces in the Indian Ghats and in lost valleys of Switzerland, crossing the whole Himalaya on foot.
